I recently finished writing some back cover "blurbs" for 27 new Penguin graded readers published by Pearson English / Penguin.
This seemingly straightforward copywrtiting task had its own peculiar challenges. Naturally, the copy needed to quickly reflect the essence of the book; but it also needed to be easily understood by young children learning English as a foreign language.
A good exercise in communicating as succinctly and clearly as possible.
